Elections Ontario https://www.registertovoteon.ca/

Elections Ontario is responsible for preparing the preliminary list of electors for each municipality and school board in Ontario using the Permanent Register of Electors for Ontario.  The preliminary list aids in the preparation of the Voters’?List?in a municipal election. The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) which formerly managed the voter’s list for municipal elections, no longer oversees this process.

The period for revisions done by the municipality to the Voters' List is from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 until the close of voting on Voting Day (Monday, October 26, 2026 at 8:00 pm). If a person is not on the Voters' List or wishes to amend their information, he or she must complete the "Application to Amend Voters' List", Form EL 15 to request an amendment to the Voters' List by the Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer at the municipality.

The municipal Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer shall require proof of identification as prescribed. For a list of the acceptable documents for voter identification please visit the Elections Ontario webpage at ID to Update, Add, Remove Voter Information. Your name and address can then be added or amended on the Voters' List and a Voter Information Letter (VIL) can be issued by the Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer.
